Foundation gives Willow Glen residents an A for effort

After the Willow Glen Middle and High School Foundation annual wine tasting fundraiser, the glass is looking a bit fuller for the two schools.

This year, the foundation raised $8,000, making it the most profitable wine tasting fundraiser yet in the nonprofit’s brief three year history.

Outstanding evening raises $8,000-plus

On a cool evening in mid November, the Willow Glen Foundation held its third annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser at the Grapevine on Lincoln Avenue. It was a total success, taking in more than $8,000.

About 140 people crowded into the wine and cheese store shmoozing and sampling wine from Chumeia Vineyards and tasty hors d�oevres. That compares with about 120-125 a year ago. The amount collected increased too, up $2,500 from $5,700 collected a year ago. More from the Willow Glen Times …
