An Overview of Recent Accomplishments

• Fund teacher requests for technology
  In June 2008, the Foundation bought Interwrite Smart Pads for middle & high school math classrooms.
• Award annual scholarships
  In June 2008, the Foundation gave $2000 scholarships to 5 graduating seniors to help pay for college expenses.
• Support performing arts, robotics, and other after school programs
  In the 2007-8 school year, the Foundation provided money to help launch 3 school plays, send the Robotics team to events, & provide training to student leaders.
• Help motivated students achieve academic success
  Many members volunteer once a week to help students improve language arts skills.
• Co-host a bi-annual High School Career Day
  The Foundation helps plan for and coordinate over 100 community volunteers who come on campus to inspire students to think beyond high school. Visit the ’09 Career Day website.

Additional Accomplishments

Since our founding in 2000, the Willow Glen Foundation has worked to improve the educational activities taking place at Willow Glen High School and Willow Glen Middle School.

• Raised more than $300,000 for school programs and activities
• Funded new equipment for high school and middle school Chemistry and Science students
• Funded training for middle school Leadership program
• Sponsor programs to support a caring climate on both campuses
• Purchased 10 computers for the Career Center to aid the college application process
• Supported middle school sports program expansion
• Upgraded lighting and sound systems in the Little Theater
