COVID-19 … A Message from our President:

School Campuses are Closed, Learning continues
— and so does the Foundation’s commitment

I hope your family is safe and healthy.

You are undoubtedly aware that schools across California are closed, and that campuses will not reopen for this academic year.

Whether you are in Willow Glen, or support us from afar, I am pleased to let you know that the WG Education Foundation continues to support our schools and our students in all the ways you’ve come to expect.

Grants & Allocations: Our Board and key volunteers continue to meet — virtually — to consider and approve principal-approved grants for equipment, curriculum resources, student activities, and teacher training. And we’re ready to approve funds for online learning enhancements as our schools identify needs on this new frontier. We invite you to donate to increase your support.

Scholarships: Our committees are moving forward with plans to award scholarships to graduating seniors in the Class of 2020, and we anticipate surpassing last year’s awarded total of $40,000.

Willow Glen Cares: Our dedicated volunteers and incredible school staff are reaching out to families that need our help the most. Thanks to generous donors, we’ve already distributed more than $5000 in grocery gift cards for students and their families who are hardest hit by recent events. Of course, you can support this effort with a donation of your own.

And of course, your Foundation’s volunteer leaders continue to manage our financial and administrative tasks, and we are fully prepared to support our schools and our students in new ways during this crisis.

We are all thankful for each other and grateful for your continued support of educational excellence in Willow Glen. Thank you.
