Donate to the RamStarter fundraiser and ensure students and teachers at Willow Glen High School (WGHS) and Willow Glen Middle School (WGMS) have what they need to succeed, whether it’s in the classroom, on the athletic field, or on the stage. 

Your funds are ESSENTIAL to many of the programs your children encounter every day. We gladly accept donations of any amount. Read on to see the many ways we use the funds we collect across the organizations.

What do RamStarter donations pay for?
Four organizations supporting students and teachers at WGMS and WGHS will benefit from your donation. For every $200 gift, $80 will go to the Education Foundation, $40 to the Athletic Boosters, $40 to the Performing Arts Boosters, and $40 to Willow Glen Cares.

Willow Glen Education Foundation

The Willow Glen Education Foundation develops resources and funds programs that inspire, promote, and support the academic achievement and cultural enrichment of all students. The Foundation pays for the following projects and activities: 

  • Project Lead the Way materials, membership, and training
  • WEB Day (“Where Everyone Belongs”) for incoming 6th graders and yearlong WEB activities (WGMS)
  • Student planners (WGMS)
  • Supplies for science labs, such as specimens for dissections (WGMS)
  • Classroom supplies
  • Support for the WGHS Mock Trial Team, such as tournament entry fees (WGHS)
  • Digital cameras and printing costs for the new WGHS Ram Pages student newspaper (WGHS)
  • 8th grade dance (WGMS)
  • Pi Day and Ice Cream Social (WGMS)
  • Activities and scholarships for graduating seniors (WGHS)
  • Author visits
  • Teacher appreciation activities
  • Snacks for students on testing days (PSAT, SAT, AP exams) (WGHS)
  • Feed for our campus flock of chickens (WGHS)
  • Inventory for the Ram Store (WGMS)
  • Recommended emergency safety equipment (WGHS)

Willow Glen Athletic Boosters

The Willow Glen Athletic Boosters provide financial and moral support to WGHS and WGMS athletic programs. We work with the Athletic Directors at both schools to fill the needs of all athletic programs and facilities. The Athletic Boosters traditionally pays for the following areas: 

  • Athletic trainer
  • Middle school coaches 
  • Uniforms and equipment 
  • Scholarships
  • Athlete recognition (e.g., NCAA Signing Day)

Willow Glen Performing Arts Boosters

The Willow Glen Performing Arts Boosters provide financial and volunteer support to ensure Theatre, Band, and Choir continue to thrive and grow at WGHS and WGMS. The Performing Arts Boosters traditionally provides funding for the following areas: 

  • Instruments
  • Repairs
  • Sheet music
  • Classroom technology
  • Instruction
  • Set design
  • Costumes
  • Festival fees
  • And much more

Willow Glen Cares

Willow Glen Cares fills gaps in the educational experience of students with the greatest economic need at both WGHS and WGMS. We want these students to feel that they are part of our WG community. Our support of these students is meant to be timely, targeted, and tangible, helping them attend school with dignity. Funding pays for the following areas: 

  • Personal hygiene products (deodorant, toothpaste, period products, etc.))
  • School supplies and backpacks
  • ASB cards
  • College application fees
  • Yearbooks
  • Food for Thanksgiving
  • Holiday and birthday gifts
  • Prom/homecoming tickets and attire
  • The Shop (donated clothing closet)
  • Snacks
  • And much more
